Dr Marie M. Daly’s groundbreaking research work helped us clarify how the human body works. Year 6 have been looking more closely at what her findings revealed about how to keep healthy. Well done Year 6 super informative work!

Who was Marie Maynard Daly?

 

Marie Maynard Daly became the first black woman with a PhD in chemistry in the USA. She researched the effects of foods on the body. She made huge advances in our understanding of how the heart and circulatory system are affected by sugar and cholesterol in our diets.
