Science: Scientists and Inventors
Thank you to all the children who are still sending in their final pieces from our Stephen Hawking research and to all the children who have found out some really interesting information on the inspirational Marie Maynard Daly- her life and what her ‘Claim to Fame’ was.
Marie Maynard Daly became the first black woman with a PhD in chemistry in the USA. She researched the effects of foods on the body. She made huge advances in our understanding of how the heart and circulatory system are affected by sugar and cholesterol in our diets.
Your task: Please can you create a poster/fact page this week explaining what cholesterol is or why healthy eating is important.
