A productive first meeting, so nice to have the Maryvale Mini Vinnies together to start making plans on helping the Maryvale community. Thank you to Mrs Hopkinson for joining us and giving our new Mini Vinnies her guidance and support! 🙏💜✝️🌎

Meet the Members! 

"We represent 'PUPIL VOICE' throughout our school"

Our Spiritual Council is made up of representatives from each class from both KS1 and KS2 . This group of children focus on developing the spiritual life of Maryvale. The children meet regularly to discuss and evaluate the collective worship being delivered by the class teachers, the children and as a whole school. The children are reflective on the liturgical season and ways in which the school can develop its collective worship and prayer life. The children feed their ideas back to their class peers and in turn gather suggestions and ideas for their next meeting. 

Key Aims:

• To develop the spiritual life of the school with the Head Teacher
• Monitoring the quality of collective worship
• Lead charity orientated events to support the local community and issues affecting us globally. 
• Monitoring the quality of RE classroom displays and prayer areas
• Planning and leading collective worship

Next Steps:

• Gather ideas to plan and design Maryvale Prayer Garden
• Establish 'Mini Vinnie' Group
• Address any pupil needs spiritual, emotional, mental or physical throughout the school.

Our Spiritual Council are elected by members of their class each year. 

Our First Fundraising Event - Disney Disco

2/7/21 First event to raise money for Our Prayer Garden 🪴🙏🏽💜✝️☘️ was a huge success! Great day for all, lots of super costumes and dancing to all our Disney favourites 😃🤩🥳
