• Geography week

  Last week we had a geography theme week in school.  Year 5 learnt about rivers and went on a trip to the River Severn.  Year 4 discovered all about volcanoes and Year 3 explored their local area.

  

• KS2 Carol Service

  Well done and thank you to all the staff involved in the joint carol service with Cardinal Wiseman.  I know everyone who attended had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and we have received many comments about the children's enthusiastic singing and impeccable behaviour.  Everyone is now well and truly in the Christmas spirit.

  

• EYFS trip to Ash End Farm

  Last week EYFS visited Ash End Farm.  Children had the opportunity to feed lots of animals including: goats, sheep and ducks.  They even saw reindeer and had time for a visit to Santa! All pupils had an enjoyable day and were incredibly well behaved.  Well done EYFS!

  

• Nativities

  Last week we started our Christmas celebrations; with EYFS and KS1 leading us through the Nativity story.  Well done to all children (and teachers!) involved, the singing and reading was excellent.

  

• Design and Technology week

  Last week was design and technology week in school, pupils designed and made a range of items to sell at our Christmas Fair.

  

• Remembrance commemorations

  Yesterday, Miss Greaney led the whole school in our remembrance commemorations. We listened to the names of men from Kingstanding who died during WW1 and also heard children's personal stories.  Everyone honoured the minutes silence with respect and reverence.

  

• Firewok safety

  Our House Captains led the whole school in a 'Firework Safety' assembly yesterday.  I hope everyone had an enjoyable Bonfire Night and remembered to stay safe.

  

• Harvest

• Football Success

  Huge congratulations to our year 3 and 4 football team, who made it to the finals of the Kingsbury Partnership competition and finished in a very impressive second place.  Their teamwork, skill, sportsmanship and behaviour were exemplary - well done!
