CURRICULUM

PE  

PE lessons will be on THURSDAY.

In Reception, children may come into school wearing their PE kit.                                The PE uniform is a yellow t-shirt and black jogging bottoms/leggings or long shorts in warmer weather.

On PE days, Reception children may also come into school wearing trainers but these should not have laces.

No earrings or jewellery should be worn.

Reading

Did you know reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child's future success - more than their family circumstances, their parents' educational background or their income?

At Maryvale, we want our children to develop a life-long habit of reading for pleasure and benefit from the improved life chances this brings them.

To support families at home to develop a love for reading, we have put together an area on our website full of stories to access at home, including stories read by our wonderful staff!
