Catholic Primary School

  • With our mother Mary,
  • we gather together joyfully,
  • to love, live, learn and pray,
  • with respect for all God’s family,
  • as Jesus teaches us.

Welcome to our Governors’ section.

School governors are one of the largest volunteer forces in the country and have an important part to play in raising school standards.  All of our foundation governors have been appointed by the Archdiocese Trust on behalf of the Bishop.

The role of the governing body is a strategic one. Its key functions are to:

  • To promote the Catholic life of the school
  • Set the aims and objectives for the school
  • Set the policies for achieving those aims and objectives
  • Set the targets for achieving those aims and objectives
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress the school is making towards achievement of its aims and objectives
  • To be a source of both challenge and support to the Head Teacher

Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.
