Hello Year 4!
Thank you for visiting the class page this week!
It was so lovely to see lots of you last Thursday for our catch up / Quiz Zoom Meeting. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
I have sent an invitation for a second Zoom Meeting for this week on Thursday 9th July! However, this will start at 2pm instead of 9am. Please ensure you are there.
This Week's Tasks
1. Local History Research Task.
This week, I would like you all to complete a research task about 'The History of Maryvale'.
As I am sure that a lot of you are already aware, our school is one of the oldest standing primary schools in the whole of Birmingham. Maryvale Primary School and Maryvale Institute have been a part of Kingstanding for hundreds of years. Therefore, I would like you to research more about the history of them.
You can either choose to learn about Maryvale Primary School, Maryvale Institute of both and create a booklet, leaflet or Powerpoint based on what you learn.
This will not be a quick task and will require extensive research and note taking before creating your final piece. Please think about your layout. Will you have different sections to explain different parts? Will you show a gallery of pictures from the past? Will you explain the purpose of each of the buildings? It is up to you.
Below I will add a few helpful websites to get you started.
I cannot wait to read your work next week!
2. TTRockstars:
5 Garage Sessions
5 Studio Sessions
5 Arena Sessions
3. MyMaths:
Rectangles and Irregular Polygons and Coordinates
or
Symmetry and position and turning.
4. Oxford Reading Buddy
Complete 5 books and quizzes.
I would also like to say a special well done to Shriyans and Teiyana for creating amazing workout videos.
I am unable to upload them. However, I am going to do them with my group at school this week and will take photos instead!!!!
Once again, thank you so much Year 4 for your hard work and dedication! I have absolutely loved receiving you fabulous work and seeing your faces through Zoom! I hope I can see a few more of you this Thursday!
Take Care. Keep Safe!
