Catholic Primary School

  • With our mother Mary,
  • we gather together joyfully,
  • to love, live, learn and pray,
  • with respect for all God’s family,
  • as Jesus teaches us.

Welcome Back Year 4!

Once again, thank you for looking at our Class Page. A lot of us are getting rather good at this new way of learning...

This Week's Tasks

I would like you to research and create a news article about a very special man named Captain Tom Moore.

He has been on the news a lot recently due to his incredible way of fund raising for the NHS.

You can either type your work or hand write it.

Please ensure that you answer the following questions within your piece:

  • Who is he?
  • How old is he?
  • How is he raising money for the NHS?
  • How much money has he raised?
  • Any interesting facts about him?
  • Your opinions on him.
  • A picture of him.

Please ensure that you send me your work either as a picture or a word document to my email address - b.martin@maryvale.bham.sch.uk.

I have also set the following tasks to be completed for next Tuesday 28th April:

  • TTRockstars - 5 Garage Sessions
  • TTRockstars - 3 Festival Sessions
  • MyMaths - Addition and Subtraction
  • MyMaths - Word Problems
  • Oxford Reading Buddy - Read 3 books and complete Quiz

Also, I would just like to say a massive thankyou to all the children that sent me their beautiful NHS Banksy Artwork. They are all so unique and creative. Here are a few of my favourites:

Finally Year 4, I would like to say a massive well done to every child who has regularly logged on the website and completed various tasks. It's fantastic to know that even though we are apart, we are still able to interact and work together.

Keep up the fantastic work, I am looking forward to seeing you all soon, hopefully...

Take Care,
Miss Martin laughheart
